254SMO Stainless Steel Bar Description

254SMO stainless steel bars are made from a highly corrosion-resistant austenitic stainless steel. They are mainly used in high-concentration chloride ion environments and highly corrosive media, such as seawater, salt water, wet chlorine, acetic acid, formic acid, acetic acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, etc.. On the other hand, they have good processing performance and welding performance. With high content of chromium and molybdenum, such bars are very resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion. Since this special stainless steel is a high-alloy material, the manufacturing process is quite complex. Generally, only traditional processes can be implemented to manufacture this special stainless steel, such as pouring, forging, rolling, etc.
